If Meyer had just gone 2-15, he'd still be there. He didn't just lose, he alienated players, alienated coaches, created controversy where there was none, and physically assaulted his kicker. Being a coach in the NFL is hard--sure--but it's not hard to avoid 99% of the mistakes Meyer made. He has no business coaching a football team from here on out; I wouldn't trust my son with a physically abusive megalomaniac.

As a coach, when you cultivate a toxic environment, it doesn't matter if you have Tom Brady or Trevor Lawrence - you're gunna be in a bad place and it's going to show on the field and in the media and THAT will be your undoing. The energy you distribute is the energy you gather in return. Urban got exactly what he deserved for his behavior and the only person accountable for his termination is Urban himself. I cant believe Collin is trying to put this on Trevor - a rookie, because he is "good" but not great. A player absolutely cannot develop in a toxic environment. The man had a god complex coming out of college ball where he could basically control young men to do his bidding. He can't handle grown adults because he doesn't have the same power over them.
He didn't earn anyone's respect because most of his actions are foolish and can't be defended. Nightclubs, Money, and the Area are all he cared about because he never cared for the players or that organization.

Colin is bending over backwards to defend Urban with this take. “His strong personality” was his undoing? Not kicking kickers, mocking coaches, bad mouthing players, and by most accounts being an all-around maniac? Maybe that’s why there wasn’t much “buy-in” from the team
